Saturday open houses are always a little bit of a long shot, but today I had five groups through an open house I held in Palatine.
This is a nice change of pace because open houses have been exceptionally slow this year. I had several opens in January and February where attendance hovered right around zero.
Today’s turn-out bodes well for the spring market. Of course, one day does not make a trend; however, it could mark the beginning of a seasonal increase in activity that many were not sure we would have. After feeling rather pessimistic about the market over the last couple months, I feel a glimmer of hope.
I now think that well-priced homes will begin to move.

Our realtor had an open house today (Sunday), and we had 7 couples/families visit our home. We were very encouraged. We also had 2 showings this weekend, so we think the market is picking up with the sunny weather.
