I’ve gotten several emails over the past couple weeks about where the last few header photos have been coming from. Just about all my pictures are taken in Barrington, and this particular set comes from Oak Knoll Road in Barrington Hills. I think Oak Knoll is one of the most beautiful streets in the area. I go there for all the major changes in seasons and to see deer, horses, geese, and foxes once in a while. I also like the large prairie preserve on the north side of the road.

I’m a lifelong resident of the area, and know these spots well, but you have brought something new to the visual senses with your stunning selections and unique use of colors and shading. I think you just might be the local equivalent to Ansel Adams, especially when you work with in the darker shades. Great contrast!
