Barrington Country Bistro is a cozy romantic restaurant. It is great for dates and small dinner parties. The atmosphere is both relaxed and refined. The food is not contemporary in the sense of what you might get at a more urban boutique restaurant. The food is French and the items are traditional; however, each dish is thought-through with a preparation that consistently exceeds expectations. The sauces are flavorful and delightfully light for French cuisine.
I like to begin with the Bistro Greens or French Onion Soup. For an entree, I recommend the Bouillabaisse or the Cornish Game Hen. For dessert, you can’t make a bad choice, but you will be especially pleased if you order the Very Thin Apple Tart.
