Gianni’s Cafe has a lovely little outdoor seating area in the summer. It is a great place to relax, enjoy the evening air, and sip a cool drink. Jeff likes their gin and tonics. I usually go for a Pellegrino with lime. You can also choose from their selective wine list.

I am guessing the main reason you’re there, however, is for the pasta. And, if that is the case, you have been well-advised. At Gianni’s, you can choose your own pasta, sauce, and ingredients. The pasta is fresh, substantial, and varied. Their arbiatta sauce with red pepper flakes is amazing. Jeff likes the diablo, but it is hot!! If you like spicy, you’ll like the diablo. Choose whatever you like; it’s all good.

Another item we really like is the antipasto platter, –so tasty!! The platter has many distinctive flavors and textures. . . yum! And, before a large plate of pasta, it is nice to have some variety and lighter fare.

The one thing we’ve been a little disappointed in is the entrees. They tend to be huge in portion, but not huge in taste. Maybe we’ve had bad luck. Let me know if you’ve had a different experience, and I will post it.

You can enjoy dining in or out at Gianni’s Cafe at the Shops of Kildeer on Rand Road across from the Deer Park Mall.
