I ventured into Amazing Gracie’s Children’s Shoppe on accident. I was taking pictures of downtown Barrington when I stumbled. . .well, nearly and happily almost stumbled, over the store’s adorable Adirondack chairs (below).

I think they’re perfect, and I could just imagine my two nieces happily sitting in them imitating adults and feeling oh-so-grown-up. Jeff and I don’t have kids (yet), but I was really taken by the baby and toddler clothes inside the store. That the styles are precious, you probably could have guessed, but the fabrics are wonderful, –soft, thick, light, layered, delicate . . .everything is quality.

The store owner, Kelly, was there when I went in. She is super-nice and personable, but she doesn’t put any sales pressure on you. You can wander around at leisure downstairs and up. My niece Erin will be four in August, so I will be back to visit Amazing Gracie’s to get her a birthday present.

Amazing Gracie’s is on Main Street in downtown Barrington, just east of the Jewel.
